Learn to dive

Are you interested in learning to scuba dive and would like to combine it with a vacation abroad?  We can offer you packages with the following two alternatives:

1. Take a beginner course while at the destination.   

2. Take a referral course which means that you complete the theory and pool training before you leave on vacation.  When you arrive to your destination, you then complete the rest of the course.

Beginner course in diving

Open Water Diver is a beginner course in PADI's educational system and is the course for those looking to explore our fantastic underwater environment.  Experienced instructors will teach you the basics and guide you through the course, helping you to become an excellent diver.  

The course begins with dive theory in the classroom, followed by hands-on training in a protected area of the sea, or in a swimming pool.  After completion of the theory test and pool training, you will have the pleasure of developing your skills further with four proper dives in the open sea. 

Referral course

Through a referral course, you will complete all theory and pool training with a local dive school, before heading off on vacation to, for instance, Egypt.  Upon arriving at your destination, you will complete only the four required open sea dives in order to receive your certification.  
After you arrive home, your local dive school will be able to support you with further training, dive equipment or just to have a new group of friends to travel and dive with.
 

Certificate

Upon completion of your course, you will receive a PADI Open Water Diver certificate. This certificate enables you to book diving, rental equipment or continue your dive education, anywhere in the world. 

Requirements

The minimum age to receive an Open Water certificate is 15 years.  All divers must be able to swim 200 meters.  
10 years of age is the minimum for children to receive a Junior Open Water certificate.  As not all children at the age of 10 are physically or mentally ready for such a challenge as scuba diving, we highly recommend that children are a minimum of 12 before they begin.  A parent or guardian must accompany the child while learning to dive.  We recommend that the parent or guardian is already a certified diver.
