Restaurants in Dahab

The trick to eating cheaply in Dahab is to avoid seafront establishments and use restaurants inland, along and beyond the pedestrian zone, where identical meals are regularly on offer for half the seafront price.

Local cuisine
Egyptian cooking is a blend of different influences. Most of the popular specialist dishes have their roots in Greece, Turkey, Lebanon, Palestine and Syria.  Most dishes tend to be simple and are not especially spicy and in almost every dish you will find garlic, onions and beans.
Egyptians love honey and therefore their desserts tend to be rather sweet.
